Jules Asner, the current cohost of E! News Daily, along with Steve
Kmetko, had a golden opportunity to be the first one to host E!’s “Wild
On” adventure series. The series was originally titled “Sex on the
Riviera.” When Eleanor Mondale left the show, Jules filled in and ended
up hosting “Wild On” for a year and a half. The “Wild On” series takes
viewers around the world and shows them that there are OTHER extremely
wild people besides Americans doing extremely wild stuff. Yes, Brooke
Burke DID have a predecessor. Although in an interview, Jules mentioned
that she was reluctant to host the “Wild On” adventure series. She
wasn’t sure if she wanted to put herself through the dangerous demands
of para-sailing, for instance. By the way, her para-sailing adventure
was one of her scariest moments. Apparently, Jules was terrified, and
rightly so, when the wind kicked up more than usual and Jules was
drifting in the air more than what was planned. It also didn’t help
matters that the producers took their time bringing her down.
Physically, she ended up fine, but her anxiety was obvious because of
the expletives were bleeped out and by watching what she was
experiencing.
The phone rings. You hear an authoritative voice say, *Hello, I'm the
producer of...Good Morning America or Oprah, or Larry King Live* or any
other top talk show, you name it. This is your big moment, the break
you've been waiting for. After you catch your breath what do you do?
As far as their fans are concerned, celebrities fulfil two emotional
functions: they provide a mythical narrative (a story that the fan can
follow and identify with) and they function as blank screens onto which
the fans project their dreams, hopes, fears, plans, values, and desires
(wish fulfilment).
On A&E's entertaining television reality show, Inked, Thomas
Pendelton is a tattoo artist for Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company
in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thomas Pendelton was introduced to art at a very
young age and has been involved with art in some aspect for nearly his
entire life.
Carey Hart, co-owner of the Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company
featured on A&E's reality television show Inked, initially gained
fame as a freestyle motocross star. Carey invented the "Hart Attack," a
motocross trick including a back flip on a 250cc motorcycle.
Coaching celebrities is a great gig if you can get it. But expect to be
flexible, available and hard working. It's also wise to be conservative
in your billing. If you do a few of these things and more, you'll end
up with a great client!
I met psychic Jane Doherty by pure chance, which is to say that nothing
is ever left to chance when it comes to the psychic world. Her book,
Awakening the Mystic Gift: The Surprising Truth About What It Means to
Be Psychic, chronicles Jane's own psychic awakening and what it truly
means to be psychic. For those seeking more information on what it
means to be psychic, this book is a very compelling read.
World renown psychic and author Jane Doherty has found herself in a
very prominent position on her new reality TV show called “Dead
Tenants”, which is hosted by The Learning Channel. I say it’s a
prominent position because of the phenomena that separates Jane’s
psychic abilities from those of other psychics.
Lance Armstrong bracelets, the yellow rubber wrist bands inscribed with
the motto LiveStrong, are tangible parts of champion American cyclist
Lance Armstrong’s legacy. Diagnosed with testicular cancer on October
2, 1996, Armstrong battled with the disease and didn’t let it get in
the way of his will to wear the yellow jersey once again to compete in
the Tour de France cycling tournament. In partnership with sports
apparel firm Nike, he started selling his Lance Armstrong bracelets for
a dollar apiece, with the profits going to the Lance Armstrong
Foundation to fund cancer research.
Before we begin asking if the celebrities are happy, let us first find
out what is happiness? If I feel good for an hour a day, and horrible
for the rest of the day, am I happy? What if I am happy for eight hours
a day and horrible for the rest of the sixteen hours? Am I a happy
person? For most of us happiness is a state that is not permanent. We
are not happy throughout the day. At least majority of us are not.
In the upcoming James Bond film, “Casino Royale,” British actor Daniel
Craig will play the lead role of James Bond. This, however, does not
sit well with a group of James Bond fans, who have launched a Web site,
http://www.craignotbond.com.
You can't help but thumb through the fashion mags after a Hollywood
award show to see what the stars wore-the good, the bad and the
downright shameful. But one aspect of all the glitz is the goody bags
the stars take home. Sure, it may take an entire paycheck (or two or
three) to afford just one item from these hush-hush swag bags, but we
still want to know what's in them. What is so intriguing about
millionaire celebrities (who could stop working today and still live
more comfortably than the general populous)getting free stuff that we'd
eat Ramen noodles for a month to own?
Each year celebrities set the trend for fashion, beauty, and of course
hairstyles and 2006 is no exception. 2006 will see the continuation of
the sedu hairstyles and top celebrities such as Jenifer Aniston,
Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, and Britney Spears are all sporting sedu
hair straightener styles.
Virtually every captain of industry is a stickler for detail. That
should have been the first clue that the late Robert "Cap'n Bob"
Maxwell wasn't qualified for the title, even though he thought he was.
An innocuous incident occurred in the mid-80s that underscored this
point, and in the process, symbolized why the demise of his fraudulent
publishing empire was inevitable.
Celebrities are not like everyday people. They have busy schedules,
drive expensive cars, and wear jewelry that others can only dream of
owning. Maybe it is because celebrities are so far removed from normal
life that they often give their babies unusual names.
Madonna – warrior, queen of pop, or beloved star – take your pick
because any of those descriptions matches with her August birth flower
the gladiolus. The gladiolus, which is often called the Sword Lily
because of its shape, was, in fact, named after the gladiator's weapon
of choice, the sword. The root of the word gladiolus is "gladius,"
which means sword.
Rumors of an impending wedding for famous Hollywood couple Angelina
Jolie and Brad Pitt are rampant. The glamorous couple have almost
certainly begun discussing wedding details and making decisions about
the where's, when's, and how's. They may have even gone so far as to
book a location, plan wedding attire, and choose a cake flavor. But
have they chosen a florist yet?
Clive Owen reportedly fell about laughing when Angelina Jolie told him
that he looked sexy in "Beyond Borders". This may have been news to the
actor who used to be a big fan of David Bowie and changed his hair
color every time the singer did. But the green-eyed, darkly handsome,
very British actor attracts women audiences to every film, including
the very scary "Derailed", his latest movie.
Every year, celebrities set the trends of fashions and hairstyles.
Everywhere you looked, you could see celebrities with many different
and fashionable hairstyles from short and sweet to long and elegant,
from curly or wavy to up-styles. No matter what the style these
celebrities were wearing, they made a fashion statement that everyone
else followed after. If a next-door girl won’t wear celebrity hairstyle
to work or to school, the weddings is a perfect time for her to try
celebrity hairstyles, and feel like a true celebrity.
